Although it is $100 more expensive, the digital readout is very precise and ultra useful when vaporizing certain materials that require exactness for optimal vape action. I own both and picked up mine up at “the Volcano Vaporizer Store” heard good reviews about the company and bad reviews on other stores and their customer service and knowledge. I was very happy with my choice in companies and very happy with my Volcano Vaporizer.
